All-New Viqueria Levante

Viqueria is an Italian Brand with everything Italy is famous for In fashion and Design . The journey started in 2012, when Nicolò and Omar, friends as well as watch enthusiasts, founded 2DStraps, an Italian brand that makes leather watches straps for luxury watches with top quality Tuscany leather. Their dream to build an authentic Italian timepiece comes true in 2017, when they founded VIQUERIA. VIQUERIA is a start-up based in Voghera, Italy, a city close to Milano and hometown of the two founders Nicolò and Omar, with the mission to deliver to Customers affordable but quality and appealing watches, which does not cost an arm and a leg but delivers everyday pleasure to wear.

Four weeks ago, I did a quick review on the Stunning Viqueria Levante 2, launched on Kickstarter in May with prices starting from 178$. They were fully funded within 48hrs and went on to be a successful campaign but don’t worry if you missed out, they are still available at a pre order price from there website
Here is the Racing Green on the optional 5 link bracelet, I already own the Viqueria Levante 1 (ST1901) so felt at home with this new model straight away as it has the same case, the first thing you notice is this model with the Seiko VX64 Meca-Q is slightly lighter and thinner so easier to wear day to day. The comparisons between the two are 144g vs 153g inc. bracelet and 11.8mm vs 13.3mm not big numbers but noticeable if you own both.
The Dial is a Sunburst Racing Green with and contrasting Orange Second Sweep Hand, Black/Silver Sub dials for 60 min counter and a 24hrs indicator, there is a Shield at 12, Indices are at 1 though to 11 and will be BGW9 SuperLume along with the H/M hand and sub dial hands
Being Meca-Q the Chrono second hand has a sweep effect unlike standard the standard quartz tick, the top pusher is to start/stop the chrono and the bottom is to reset the chrono, the main crown is signed with the trademark shield and you will also find this shield on the inside of the bracelet clasp and case back which also has a wheel shape engraving along with the Name, Serial Number, Water Resistance, Assemlato In Italia and Italian Racing Spirit

Living with the watch day to day shows the benefit of a Seiko Meca Quartz, you know the watch is ready to wear and you know it will be accurate so no need to be constantly adjusting the time, the size 42mm is perfect for my 7¼” wrist but will also suit smaller wrist and has the presence for a larger wrist, the standard leather strap is of the rally design and is in soft italian leather with quick release spring bars for easy changing, the optional bracelet is a 5 link design brushed and polished matches the case perfectly and has good fitting solid end links and there is a concealed clasp more in keeping with the design of the watch

You need to check out the 4 colourway which can be seen on their website – https://www.viqueriawatches.com/iwc/
